"An Urban Silence" featuring work by five emerging Portuguese artists is showing at The Exchange, in Cornwall, until 17th September.
The artists use photography, video and painting to focus on urban spaces and each artist has taken a perspective of cities without citizens. 'An Urban Silence' is supported by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.

Cornwall-based composers Robert Curgenven & Matt Davis respond to "An Urban Silence" in one-off solo performances through a 12 speaker Genelec sound-system exclusively for The Exchange. The two sets of immersive sound diffusion will feature live instrumentation as well as field recordings captured throughout the megacities of Europe and Japan to highlight hidden dimensions within the Exchange's current exhibition of innovative works of video and photography by Portuguese artists.
