European Map of Intergenerational Learning (EMIL) Website

EMIL has relaunched its updated website, which now has a number of enhanced features including:

- a forum for members to discuss ideas, issues and key topics within intergenerational learning;

- national profiles highlighting key trends and initiatives related to member countries;

- the latest news and events from the field;

- an interactive map of members throughout Europe;

- a range of free resources to support individuals and organizations with the development and promotion of their work;

- thematic working groups that explore selected topics in more detail and produce concept/position papers on themes relevant to the field.

WHAT IS EMIL? EMIL is an innovative project promoting the importance and understanding of intergenerational learning and relationships. The project uses the expertise of partner organisations working in the field to create a learning network for others involved in intergenerational programmes across Europe.

For more detailed information on the network and how to join, please visit the EMIL website.

How can organisations or individuals get involved? We aim to involvea wide range of organisations in both improving our knowledge and taking action. We already have representatives from 25 European Countries involved and now we would like to invite you to join the network which will keep you informed of developments and also enable you to participate in our expanding network. Membership is free as we want to build a strong network looking to the future of intergenerational work.

Other EMIL news: EMIL has become a member of the Age platform Europe to ensure our work is integrated with the wider European programme, and in preparation for the 2012 European Year of Active Ageing and Intergenerational Solidarity. We are now working with international partners with relevant interest to establish reciprocal links, including ENIL, Generations United and ICIP.
